77 impressions

Video Installation, 2012

77 Impressions is an installation piece composed by a twenty-five feet scroll of rice paper with seventy seven black ink drawings of skulls, and a TV monitor that displays the drawing process. The creation of the drawings was a three-hour performance in which I painted skulls on a sheet of acetate, after finishing each drawing I took the scroll of rice paper and pressed it against the acetate, in that way the ink drawing transferred to the paper, creating a monotype.
